This brief, linked article reports that the supervisor of the Postville, Iowa meat-packing plant that was raided by ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agents in May, has been sentenced to a 23-month prison sentence.  Other plant managers are awaiting trial.

Employers everywhere should take notice.  Employing illegal immigrants can land you in jail for a long time.  Don’t do it!

A supervisor arrested after a massive immigration raid at a kosher meatpacking plant in Iowa has been sentenced to nearly two years in federal prison for harboring illegal immigrants.

Martin De La Rosa-Loera was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids to 23 months in prison followed by two years of supervised release.

The 43-year-old Postville man pleaded guilty last year to aiding and abetting the harboring of undocumented immigrants under an agreement with prosecutors.

He was arrested in July following an immigration raid that netted 389 people at the Agriprocessors Inc. meatpacking plant in Postville.

Other company managers also face federal charges.

Postville Meat-Processor Provided Illegals with Fake IDs!

This article reports that many of the illegal immigrants arrested in the raid at the Postville, Iowa meat-processor for possessing fake or stolen identification actually received the fake documents from the company’s human resources department!  It’s time to start throwing comany officials and employees – anyone who is complicit in this kind of activity – into jail and it’s time to start shutting down such companies.  And I’m talking about any and every company who does the same thing.  These people are anti-American.  If I was governor of Iowa, I’d hop in a state police cruiser and lead a convoy of troopers down there to conduct an investigation and arrest everyone involved.
