ICE agents have just conducted another roundup of illegals, this time targeting an Ohio chain of Mexican restaurants. Eight restaurants yielded up 58 illegals. In other words, these restaurants were staffed almost entirely with illegals! The yield was small but the message to American employers is getting louder – we’re coming after you!
I hope they shut down this chain. If not, the people of Ohio should boycott this chain until it’s driven from the American landscape.

Illegal immigration is of course purposeful or it would have been shut down years ago. Under our grow or die form of economics, our government is not selective about where that growth come from.
Going after the employers was always the simple way to curb the illegal activity. I own a building that has a hidden concealed area where illegals used to hid when the INS came around.
The previous owner had no real fear of reprisal and only had his hands slapped if caught. Had the fines and jail time been severe, there would never have been illegals on the premise to catch.
I agree that the government has intentionally allowed this problem to grow, with a wink and a nod. But I sense that it’s changing. I only hope the next president will finish the job, seal the border, begin prosecuting employers and force the illegals already here to flee for home out of fear of arrest.
